Purpose of the Role

As Purchase Ledger Clerk you work with the Finance and Commercial teams to ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time, delivering accounts payable processes and resolving issues.

Key Areas of Responsibility & Accountability

Ensure all Systems subcontractor applications and purchase ledger invoices are processed in an accurate and timely manner.

Undertake scanning subcontract applications and allocating to relevant authorisers.

Follow-up with authorisers to ensure processing timelines are observed and payments deadlines are achieved.

Supply remittance to suppliers for certificates raised including deduction information against applications where applicable.

Attend to all supplier queries and direct queries to relevant authorisers where necessary.

As you will expect the organisation may change from time to time and you will be expected to meet the operational requirements

Any other reasonable duties as required from time to time.

Person Specification

The job holder will have-

Experience working in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within a construction industry environment.

Excellent communication skills essential.

IT literate, in particular knowledge of Excel
