Role objective
To ensure the effective operation and control of the company's operational service, assets and liabilities for either Waste Water or Water Services. This role is 24/7 shift based (all year round) and will focus on ensuring the effective 24/7 operation of either Water or Waste Water service. Customer focused and driven delivering full compliance with all customers, regulatory and company standards. This role will seek to ensure that effective responses, decisions, proactive actions and exceptional customer service are delivered through working with colleagues both within OCC but also equally field colleagues.

Key accountabilities
In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have: * Responsibility for the overall performance of either Water and Waste Water Services at OCC and for decisions/instructions issued in respect of asset operation and resource deployment in the respective function * Ensure effective relationships with Water and Waste Water services, OCC staff and other colleagues across functions * Accountability for actions/advice in function to the Network Control Lead * Promoting a safe and efficient working environment demonstrated by following processes and a focused approach to reactive events, ensuring all quality standards is met. * Continually drive and participate in the implementation of change within the department through lean processes * Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements * Responsible for the early identification of incidents or events likely to lead to escalation based on our internal & regulatory trigger levels * Functional and regional responsibility for the effective network operation

Experience
In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have: * Experience of analysis work and prioritising incoming tasks in a reactive time pressurised environment * Experience of delivering excellent customer service preferably in a contact centre environment * Confident with and experience of using multiple IT systems to identify problems and co-ordinate data cohesively * Experience of influencing and communicating to others at all levels in a sensitive, successful and collaborative manner to get the desired outcome * Experience of proactively identify problems and drive/implement solutions * Experience of delivering solutions and actions through motivating and coaching colleagues in a knowledge sharing environment * Experience of risk analysis in a risk adverse manner * Excellent communication skills combined with experience of making a considered approach when facing pressure and experience of making key decisions with limited information * Experience of hydraulic operation of sewerage and distribution network (desirable) * Experience of operating asset systems e.g.; Water Distribution, Sewerage, Sewage Treatment, Water Production (desirable)

Qualifications
In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have: Essential and/or desirable qualifications for the role * Maths and English Level C GCSE or Equivalent essential * Preferably educated to A Level (or equivalent) Standard * Knowledge & qualifications relating to plumbing techniques, Hydraulics, Engineering, logistics or Network Management would be desirable.
