Key responsibilities: The Senior Internal Communications Manager is part of the Communications Team and reports to the Head of Communications. The role holder manages the Senior Internal Communications Executive. The Communications Team consists of: • Head of Communications • Senior Internal Communications Manager • Senior Internal Communications Executive • Three PR Managers (including this role) • Senior PR Executive The team is based in London and Birmingham. Skills and experience: • You will be an experienced internal communications professional, with proven abilities to lead the creation and implementation of effective internal communications strategies • You will have management experience and experience of working directly with senior executives, ideally in a professional services or financial services environment • You will have excellent verbal and written skills, and can demonstrate a keen understanding of how to engage audiences through targeted, compelling messaging and the use of appropriate channels • You will be an experienced copywriter and editor, acting as an internal 'journalist' to track down relevant content and interview internal sources to create both news and features which go beyond the usual 'sending stuff out' internal communications • You will have interpersonal skills including diplomacy, flexibility and persuasiveness to engage with a wide-range of internal stakeholders Key competencies: • Excellent copywriting skills • Excellent verbal communications skills • Excellent attention to detail and ability to think around a topic (including risks, challenges, opportunities, etc) to offer solutions • Excellent time-management skills, able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and able to prioritise workload • Ability to develop relationships and engage with people at all levels across the business • Be robust, team-oriented, flexible and enthusiastic with a can-do approach • Innovative and able to put creative ideas into practice Applications must be received no later than Friday 8 September.
