The chosen candidate MUST be 2:1 or above graduate, who has experience working with Primary aged children. The right applicant will have a naturally approachable and caring manner and an overwhelming desire to become a teacher. You will have the skills to a genuine love for teaching and learning and be enthusiastic in all situations. The Headteacher wants to recruit a graduate with the traits and attitude that see them quickly become a role model to pupils from all economic and social backgrounds.

At this advanced school, as a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be joining the school in a general role, not assigned to any particular class or department and you will be providing guidance and tuition to individual pupils. Your duties will include accelerating the academic and personal development of pupils with Special Educational Needs and working with class teachers to ensure their individual goals are being met. This role comes with the full support of a Class Teacher mentor, who will welcome you in to the school and answer any questions you have. Although the school promote the ethos of every child matters they are also keen to enhance the individual professional capabilities. You will be guided by the Senior Leadership Team and learn directly what it takes to produce successful pupil outcomes, both academically and pastorally.
