This is a brand new role for my client and the successful candidate will provide a high level of support to the Director in running and developing the business, and in delivering consulting projects.

As Executive Assistant, the key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with colleagues, suppliers and company advisers
  • Building trusting relationships with clients
  • Coordinating project work
  • Supporting consultant in delivering projects
  • Contribute directly to delivering projects
  • Coach and train colleagues in the things you excel at
  • Develop and review operating processes and make improvements whenever possible
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, presentations and other communications
  • Write for and update the company website and social media presence
  • Design and maintain databases
  • Use and maintain the company's record keeping and document management systems
  • Carry out research and collect and analyse data to prepare reports, proposals and other documents
  • Manage and maintain the Director's diary, appointments and travel arrangements
  • Arrange and coordinate meetings and events
  • Records and share meeting action logs
  • Check, filter, respond to and share incoming communications
  • Answer and manage incoming calls and welcome visitors

Key skills and experience required:

  • Proficient at providing support at senior level
  • Proficient PC skills including detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Onenote, SharePoint/OneDrive
  • Able to use financial record keeping systems
  • A good working knowledge of standard office administration practices and processes
  • Strong organisational, time management and planning skills
  • Good problem analysis and problem solving skills
  • Sound judgment and business-like decision-making ability
  • Able to work without direct supervision, setting priorities based on company plan and using own initiative
  • Able to handle information sensitively and confidentially
  • Great team player
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and enthusiastic as there will be periods of working alone in the office. You'll need to be proactive and adaptable, with a real desire to exceed customer expectations.

Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 37.5hours/week

Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays + 2 paid days/year for local voluntary work
