Central England Co-operative is one of the largest and most successful independent co-operatives in the UK, with gross sales in excess of GBP1bn and over 8,800 colleagues operating across 16 counties, from the heart of England to its eastern shores. Our colleagues are the key to our success, which is why we want the very best people as part of our team.

Thousands of families in local communities across the sixteen Counties we serve, trust us to support them at a difficult time by taking care of all of the small details that make a big difference. Due to our funeral business growing at a rapid pace, a new opportunity has arisen for a Bonds Administrator, based within our Shared Service Centre.

As a Bonds Administrator you will work within the Banking administration team and will be responsible for the administration, reconciliation and control of transactional activities relating to the Customer Funeral Bond process, including data entry, managing customer queries, dealing with external providers and issuing funeral plan documentation. You will have regular use of excel and windows software as well as the maintenance of our own in-house databases and accounting packages.

When funerals are purchased in advance, a funeral plan is created. This document is a contract detailing agreed costs and all arrangements for this very important occasion, its critical therefore that these are raised accurately and on a timely basis given the attached sensitivities.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, numerate, analytical and have well developed communication and IT skills. They will have an excellent telephone manner, with attention to detail and a 'right first time' approach.
