Title: Electrical Systems Engineer

Contract Position based at: Gaydon

Position Description:

Software Over The Air (SOTA) is a major strategic system development for our client, the system will allow for the establishment of business capabilities core to the delivery of many future technologies. It will enable a host of remote diagnostic functions including the function to perform ECU software update over the air. The opportunity is to be a leading the systems design & development from high level use cases to low level deployment of software, internal processes and off board technologies to deliver the system.

Skills Required:

3 KEY SKILLS

- Knowledge and experience of system design and development techniques, such as SysML/UML and experience of development in either IBM Rhapsody or Enterprise Architect.

- Knowledge and experience of systems engineering principles and methods for requirements development decomposition, linking and test case development.

- Knowledge and experience of design of software systems, preferable with experience of development embedded systems.

Experience Required:

Knowledge and experience of system design and development techniques, such as SysML/UML and experience of development in either IBM Rhapsody or Enterprise Architect.

Knowledge and experience of systems engineering principles and methods for requirements development decomposition, linking and test case development.

Experience of working with a wide variety stakeholders to elicit requirements perform design reviews and agree solutions.

Skilled at presentation of complex technical topics to senior forums, and communicating clearly at all levels.

Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience Preferred:

Knowledge of system / software architecture design principles and processes such as identification and management of architectural significant use cases, cross cutting concerns, and trade off analysis. Knowledge of software systems both on and off board the vehicle. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics systems. Experience of project management. Experience of production delivery in automotive.
