As a specialist, niche-sector manufacturing organisation, this company is experiencing unprecedented growth as a result of increased demand for their products. They now require an Injection Moulding Technician / Engineer to be based at their site in Worcestershire area. Reporting to the Group Production Manager, you will be an experienced Moulding Technician / Engineer from a manufacturing background.

Commutable from: Worcester, Kidderminster, Malvern, Redditch, Tewksbury, Hereford, Dudley, Solihull, Birmingham

Salary: £32,000 per annum + Benefits

The Role

Working as a key part of the Engineering team, this role involves:

Managing four Injection moulding machines and one junior member of staff (Machine Loader)
Improve quality of product through liaison with technicians / maintenance ensuring all improvements are documented and communicated to the Engineering team.
Ensure Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) checks are completed and faults are actioned.
Liaise with and support maintenance, tool room and engineer in relation to machine break downs.
To escalate and discuss all issues included within the escalation procedure timeline actively with the Product Manager and team.
Support the Technical Engineering Team with new business and prototype parts where necessary.
Work as part of a team to ensure production/tool change targets are met on a daily basis.

The Person

You will be an experienced and hands on Moulding Technician / Engineer with a background in a manufacturing based environment and you will have a strong mix of the following skills and experience;

Recognised time served apprenticeship to City & Guilds or ONC Level.
Experience of manufacturing and be responsive to customer needs.
Minimum of 3 years Injection Moulding experience.
Mechanical/Electrical engineering background i.e. qualified by experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively train others in all aspects within the mould shop
Experience of trouble shooting / problem solving and complete process setup.
