1st Line Software Support Engineer required for a very successful accident management organisation based in Birmingham. As a Software Support Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the company's software based systems and resolving software defects and systems maintenance.

The organisation has a great working environment, they have a canteen on site along with a ping pong table and they support flexible working. This is a great opportunity if you're an IT graduate or a Junior Support engineer seeking a new challenge.

You will be required to:

To understand the function, role and activity of the software support development team

- Provide second line systems support for core systems and processes.
- Successful triage of development/support tasks and provide solution where appropriate.
- Occasionally perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
- To write code to agreed standards in the defined languages that may change from time to time
- Accurately assess and estimate for any given specification the personal development effort required to complete that job.

Key Skills

- IT qualification - A level, NVQ, Degree, BTEC etc.
- Basic understanding of TSQL and SQL
