Head of Income and Contracts
Our client is a large multisite NHS Trust, serving over half a million people across the county from three main acute hospitals, with an annual turnover of cGBP390m. The recently appointed Board and Executive Team are embarking on a period of cultural development to ensure successful delivery of our quality improvement journey and to enable the continued focus on excellence. Within the finance and procurement directorate, we require an experienced, dynamic Head of Income and Contracts to proactively manage our healthcare income contracts, setting a framework for excellent contract management and income recovery through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance you lead the healthcare income and contract management function, monitoring and reporting on all aspects of PbR and contracts. Providing advice and support to the board and divisions you will engage with the commissioners facilitating an open dialogue around contract performance with a particular focus on system wide collaboration and agreeing terms for service transformations that will deliver improved patient care. Playing an intrinsic role in understanding and disseminating the latest developments in contract management and PbR you will ensure your team provide technical advice that supports effective decision making.
A qualified accountant with a proven track record of working collaboratively with senior, multi-disciplinary individuals on both an internal and external basis you have a flair for influencing and negotiation in high pressure situations whilst building strong and lasting relationships. With proven leadership experience, you are not fazed by working in a change oriented environment and have the capacity to develop a high level of technical expertise in the field of income and contracting.
