Title: Electrical Systems Engineer

Contract Position based at: Gaydon

Position Description:

An exciting opportunity is available in Smart Settings group for an Electrical Systems Engineer to further strengthen our market leader position. Smart Settings group is responsible for delivering Premium Cabin features including Machine Learning, Personalisation and Identification.

You will be responsible for designing systems according to V-Model which will include System Design, System Requirements, Component Requirements, DFMEA, developing design verification methods and plans, and carrying out testing on rigs and vehicles. Requirements cascade and stakeholder alignment is a key part of this role.

Skills Required:

3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

* System engineering methods according to V model including requirement engineering using tools such as DOORS to capture/manage/cascade at all levels of the V Model including development of test methods/plans, carrying out testing against plans/methods and reporting out results.
* Automotive processes and tools: CAN (Important), Network Architecture, DFMEA, root cause analysis, CANalyser, CANape, issue tracking and reporting. Good electrical and software background. Experience of V-Model.
* Interpersonal Skills: Self-motivated, deliver with minimum supervision. Agile, swiftly adjust in changing environment, flexible team player.

Experience Required:

Good track record of developing automotive (or similar domain) systems in accordance with processes and standards.

Appreciation of integration and HMI.

Lead stakeholder reviews and align cross-functional teams to achieve attribute trade agreements and specification alignment.

Full development life-cycle experience from decomposing customer requirements to system/component specifications through to production implementation and product launch support.

Experience Preferred:

Familiarity with Simulink/Matlab.

Clean UK Driving License.

Education Required:

Educated to degree level
