We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager to manage a brand new therepeutic childrens home in Shropshire, for youngsters with social,emotional and behavioural difficulties. As the newly appointed manager you will take a lead on the furnishing and decoration of the home which will be registered for up to 6 individuals. The Role: To promote the normal development of Children and young people To safeguard all service users from threats to their health and welfare To ensure that the home environment is safe and sensitive to the needs of the children To develop and maintain relationships with parents, social workers, teachers and other professionals To be responsible for the development off the staff team and provide leadership and guidance Staff recruitment and performance monitoring To ensure staff are adequately trained, supported and supervised in accordance with relevant policies and quality standards. To ensure the home and staff comply with health and safety and legal requirements To maintain and adhere to professional and confidentiality requirements The Person: This is a fabulous opportunity for anyone who would like the experience of setting up, establishing and managing a childrens residential service. We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work or Diploma/QCF Level 5 working with Children Must have at least 2 years experience working with young people in a residential setting Must have experience managing a similiar service with challenging behaviours Successful track record with OFSTED outcomes (Good or Outstanding) Must have full UK driving licence and own transport We have been appointed as an approved supplier of staff for Outcomes First Group.
