Food & Beverage Manager
Our client is recruiting for a Department Manager to manage the day to day running of the Catering units within the Skydome Arena. The Arena hosts a multitude of events, including combat sports, concerts, professional wrestling, conferences and over 35 professional ice hockey matches per year.
We're seeking a motivated, enthusiastic individual with previous restaurant/catering management experience at Assistant Manager level or above, preferably in a multi-outlet setting. The candidate will have a good understanding of the catering business and be a hands on manager who wants to drive improvement.
Answerable to the General Manager, duties will include;
Checking stock levels and ordering suitably.
Introducing and monitoring of new items and promotions
Maintaining and monitoring all health and safety paperwork
Cashing up vending machines weekly
Briefing and motivating the team before and during events
Ensuring cleanliness of all areas within the department
Overseeing the effective operation of the Papa John's restaurant area
Overseeing multiple catering outlets during events
Setting up multiple outlets to be ready to trade before events
Controlling and reducing levels of wastage in all areas
Liaising with senior managers on a weekly basis to ensure the smooth running of the department on an ongoing basis.
Monitor income levels to identify areas for improvement
The role is full time, five days per week, set to the needs of the business. Working times vary and at times can be very anti-social depending on event schedules. We're looking for a dedicated and organised person looking to further their career in a busy environment. The candidate will be intent on raising standards and take great pride in their work, while being capable of managing their own workload and planning their day to day schedule.
