Our client is a major food manufacturer who are currently seeking a first class Maintenance Planner within their Engineering department. The role will involve organising, planning and preparing detailed maintenance plans, within a fast moving and dynamic fmcg environment, comprehensive analysis of all maintenance activity, the preparation of reports and PPM system maintenance as well adding value by assisting Engineers with PPM training and developing predictive maintenance plans...

Some of your key tasks will entail the following:

The production of daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance plans.
Ensure that the required resources for maintenance activities are planned and scheduled, liaising with production for agreed windows of opportunity for maintenance on key equipment.
Identify required resources for maintenance activities and plan resources for the required work.
Produce detailed reports for daily, weekly and monthly meetings regarding PM completion, breakdowns, downtime, and more detailed analysis regarding all KPIs (MTBF, Average time to repair etc) as well top 5 equipment issues to address and outstanding tasks to complete.
Maintain all PPM RECORDS and by monitoring all users ensure that the Maintenance team are updating all tasks.
Support the Engineering function via the planning of external resource requirements and identification of resource shortfalls.
Assist the development of Engineers through PPM training.
Develop both Predictive Maintenance plans and schedule Clean Inspect and Lubricate routines into schedules to maximise machine performance.

You should have the following experience for this role:

You should have a robust engineering background ideally through an apprenticeship route and qualified to HNC/ HND level or equivalent.
It would also be very advantageous to have had experience within a FMCG / food manufacturing company or the automotive sector.
Have good experience of Maintenance Planning with high developed analytical, planning & organising skills.
Excellent computer literacy and report writing skills
Demonstrates strong analytical and planning skills.
Familiar with presenting detailed information in meetings and have both good communication and interpersonal skills.
CBM knowledge, PM techniques and Predictive Maintenance planning experience are desirable.
A thorough understanding of the key health and safety requirements within engineering would be essential.
CI/Lean tools and techniques experience to assist in the CI journey.
