Our client is one of the largest suppliers to the automotive industry worldwide. They design, engineer and provide the best in technology, systems and services for the cockpit of the future and a more sustainable mobility. They supply the automotive industry in all five continents and have 300 sites in 35 countries.

They are currently looking to recruit a Graduate Quality Engineer to work from their site in Lichfield, West Midlands.

As Graduate Quality Engineer you will be responsible for implementing process control programs that will assure production of finished goods that meet or exceed customer-specified requirements. You will lead continuous improvements by utilising the appropriate quality tools and provide data analysis.


•Conduct multiple projects ranging from feasibility phase to post launch quality assessment and throughout production life

•Facilitate Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) with Engineering in conjunction with advanced quality-planning activities and monitor the status throughout production life

•Develop, implement and maintain Statistical Process Control techniques

•Assure compliance of the documented quality system (QS 9000/TS16949) and promote consistency throughout the organisation

•Conduct investigations to determine causes of defects, make recommendations for corrective action

•Maintain customer complaint log and facilitate and participated in the corrective action process

•Instruct and train staff in techniques and use of audit and testing devices

•Monitor and revise quality documentation as required

•Act as a liaison to internal and external customers and visit customers and suppliers when necessary

•Review all production methods for compliance to quality standards and for improvement of product and quality standards

• Perform all responsibilities with QS9000/TS16949 system requirements

This role will also see candidates joining the companies two year graduate development programme with the option for graduates to complete a fully funded Masters in Leadership and Management accredited by Coventry University.


•Minimum 2:1 or above in a BEng/MEng degree discipline

•Some Automotive experience

•Strong analytical and proven team oriented problem solving-skills required.

•Strong customer service/satisfaction skills

•An in-depth knowledge of quality engineering techniques

•Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills

•Ideally a year Industrial Placement Experience in a Manufacturing background is preferred but not essential
