I am currently recruiting for a Head Chef for a fabulous position in the Birmingham / Solihull area for a lovely Hotel. This privately owned hotel have great plans for expansion and changes - this is the perfect time for an experienced, or up and coming Head Chef to be involved in their exciting plans.
The hotel is a very popular venue for weddings (lots of weddings!) So applicants will have to have had a strong background in weddings and banqueting. Although you will be a crucial part of the development of the restaurant also.
Weddings - up to 150 covers
Restaurant - up to 60 covers
As head chef - you will be creating exciting, new, fresh, fashionable menus and will run the kitchen - arrange rotas, head up the team in the Kitchen - Currently a sous, CDP and a Kitchen Porter.
You will be used to cooking with fresh food and making tantalising menus.
My client is looking to see CVs from candidates who can demonstrate a strong stable work history and a real passion, not only for food - but for becoming an integral part of the Hotel - this is a role for someone who wants to forge their career here whilst helping the owners with their long term vision.
This is a calm (and roomy) kitchen - no room for big egos though - this role would suit someone who can keep a cool head when things get busy and is happy to support dedicated staff.
Salary £25,000 - £30,000 possibly more for exceptional candidates
