Audit Senior - Derby

Salary: Up to £25,000 depending on experience

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Audit Senior to join their expanding Derby team. The ideal candidate will have previously worked within an Accountancy practice and have experience with undertaking the audit and preparation of financial statements and corporation tax returns.

Requirements

Preparation and audit of statutory accounts - mainly Limited Companies, not-for-profit organisations, including Charities and Academies
Assisting the Managers and Partners
Responsibility for junior staff
Prioritising effectively to meet set deadlines and budgets
Liaising with clients to obtain audit evidence and ensure that information is received in sufficient time to prepare accounts and complete the audit
Able to carry out ad hoc assignments
Understands and prepares financial statements correctly
Understands and has knowledge of relevant accounting and auditing standards

Key Skills

Actively studying towards a qualification (ACA or ACCA) with some audit experience
At least 18 months experience in an audit role is preferable
Requires own transport to travel to clients sites
Experience of CaseWare, CCH, Sage software is an advantage
Team player with a strong work ethic
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confident in a client facing role and working with people of all levels
Motivated to provide the highest quality service to clients
Excellent accounting skills
