Title: Business Analyst

Site: Warwick

An exciting position has arisen within Hormel, a partner of Tulip, for a finance/ business/ economics degree qualified or equivalent individual with strong analytical skills who can work both independently and as part of small team. This role commands solid financial (profit and loss) evaluation skills that can translate into actionable recommendations as well as the ability to analyze and interpret market data and effectively communicate key action points.

Key responsibilities will include

Analysis of sales, profitability and market data
Evaluation and recommendations for improved effectiveness and reviewing trade spend to outline steps for improved product profitability or enhanced retailer support.
Weekly trade evaluations and program recaps are required as well as evaluation recommendations with proactive responses being communicated to the marketing and trade teams in a brief and actionable format.
providing support and presentations to the sales team with customer analysis and program analysis
providing analytical and financial support on all marketing and sales projects
a key member of the team setting up a new system to manage orders to other Europe regions

Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience working with analyzing data in a marketing or sales team and have the capability to recognize market opportunities supported by market data. You will provide trade and market insights that generate brand growth both in the UK and Europe. This role therefore covers a number of brands and numerous markets so the ability to quantify and prioritize the size of the prospect is imperative. Marketing experience with branded products would be highly regarded.

Strong attention to detail is required to accurately combine various elements of market data, sales profitability and program effectiveness into weekly reports. Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint are necessary for this role with System experience of Kantar, Nielsen, SAP and Retail Link being advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
