Purple Monkey Recruitment are delighted to be working with a Household Goods Retailer based in Birmingham, who are looking for a National Account Manager, eCommerce to join the team. The National Account Manager, eCommerce will focus on managing and developing existing and potential B2B pureplay accounts across the UK and Europe.

Reporting into the eCommerce Director, the National Account Manager, eCommerce will contribute to evolving the sales strategy and identify the right audiences and product opportunities.

As National Account Manager, eCommerce you will:

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, sales and profit targets
  • Develop and implement effective business strategies to ensure that current and future business opportunities are maximised to provide optimum profitability
  • Monitor performance against plan, taking appropriate action to maximise sales and profit, reduce stockholding whilst increasing stock turn
  • Identify market size and new business opportunities to grow sales and profitability
  • Maintain and grow customer margins
  • Build and maintain existing customer relationships ensuring high levels of customer service
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of available product range in order to confidently market and ensure appropriate product placement
  • Ensure all activities are coordinated to maximise sales during key events with awareness of competitor activity
  • Lead, manage and motivate team and customer on a day to day basis
  • Support training and development activities
  • Ensure effective communication to all levels both internally and externally

To be successful in the role, you will need the following:

  • Experience of managing Amazon accounts is essential, with a good working knowledge of Amazon Marketing Services and Strategic Vendor Services
  • Educated to degree level, or similar
  • 3+ years’ experience managing B2B national accounts within the pureplay online sector, with extensive sales experience
  • Experienced looking after a high number of SKUs
  • Demonstrable, solid experience in eCommerce analysis and the use of 3P tools to support the strategy (OCR, Profitero etc)
  • Experience managing multiple brands and customers within the online space
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
  • A solid understanding and experience of web portals and other analytical packages is essential
