An expanding company that produce aggregates (crushed rock, sand and gravel), ready-mixed concrete, asphalt, cement and cement related materials is seeking a Maintenance Engineer based in Nuneaton to join its team.

This company is split into four business lines – aggregates, concrete, asphalt and contracting and cement – which together operate around 300 manufacturing sites and employ over 3,500 people.

As the Maintenance Engineer, your duties will be to:

  • Support the business in its objective to supplying packaged material to market by the means of proactive and reactive maintenance and engineering support.
  • Comply fully with all legislation (Health and Safety at Work act 1974 etc…)
  • Report to business as required, weekly / monthly.
  • Maintain packing plant in a flexible and reactive manner.
  • Mechanical repair to packing machines, conveyors and another plant.

To be a successful Maintenance Engineer you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Ideally NVQ level qualified.
  • Knowledge and experience of Fabrication work i.e. welding, gas cutting, grinding.
  • Time served Apprenticeship / training with experience.
  • Counterbalance Forklift and MEWP licence.
  • Occupational qualifications (Welding / Cutting / Grinding etc.)
  • Minimum of an IOSH certificate in Safety; although this training could be supplied to support an appointment.
  • Ideally trained in Risk Assessment / Risk Management principles.
  • Knowledge of cement, aggregates, RMC and building products business.

You will be working Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm.

In return, the Maintenance Engineer will receive a salary of £15+ per hour (plus overtime).
