B2B Digital Content & Marketing Officer

If you are an experienced B2B copywriter and digital marketing professional, who is skilled in co-ordinating multiple projects and stakeholders at once, this job is for you! You would be based at University House, Birmingham and the hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. We would be looking for someone to start on 25th September (or before if possible) and this post would initially be for a 3 month period.

Purpose of the role:

You will work with B2B marketing colleagues, activity stakeholders and external agencies and suppliers to write, create, curate and edit targeted B2B content and co-ordinate and deploy multi-channelled B2B campaigns for the purposes of:

* Creating visibility for, and awareness of, BCU's B2B projects, research and expertise amongst external target audiences regionally, nationally and internationally
* Driving an increase in enquiries/leads for new business partnerships and collaborations with the University
* Generating additional prospect and partner data for the B2B CRM database
* Creating visibility for B2B activities amongst internal colleagues and stakeholders

Main activities and responsibilities are:

Copywriting and content generation
* To write/curate/edit and co-ordinate input from stakeholders, to create engaging and compelling B2B content for web and digital marketing campaigns ranging from editorial, comment pieces, blogs and case studies to promotional email copy and social media posts.
* To ensure that content formats used in communications are relevant to target audiences and channels (formats may include: copy, imagery, video, infographics, guides, case studies etc.)
* To co-ordinate activities with the B2B Inbound Content Agency and be responsible for editing/repurposing and deploying the multi-channel campaign content it supplies to maximise target audience engagement and leads generated
* To work with BCU PR & Communication teams to develop press releases and additional campaign support when required
Website content generation and co-ordination
* To write/create/curate/edit/co-ordinate and deploy content on a number of owned and partner websites, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, from web developers to product and CRM managers, to ensure visibility and lead generating targets are achieved
* To ensure SEO is maximised within content and structure of owned websites
* To work with BCU Digital teams when required
Social Media campaigns
* To manage, create content, deploy and measure social media activity in-line with campaign strategies, creating greater engagement and reach amongst target audiences
* To deliver live social media coverage at events when required
Email campaigns
* To manage monthly B2B email campaigns, including planning, content creation, design, deployment, measurement

Experience & skills requirements

*Educated to Degree Level in English, Journalism, Online Journalism, Digital Marketing or a relevant subject area
*A minimum of 18 months experience in a similar role
*SEO and/or digital content qualification is desirable
*Demonstrable professional experience of writing, creating, curating, editing, and optimising B2B web, digital, email and social content, ideally within a similar industry or organisation, and creating content in multiple formats to maximize target audience engagement, is essential
*Demonstrable professional experience of co-ordinating and deploying content management plans along with experience of co-ordinating inputs from multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver on content/campaign deadlines, is essential
*Experience of working with web CMS, social media campaign tools such as Hootsuite and email campaign tools such as Mail Chimp is essential.
*Experience using HTML & CSS is essential.
*Google analytics experience is desirable.
*Experience of working with Wordpress is desirable.
*Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or similar is desirable
*Working knowledge of video production for online content is desirable
*Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
*Ability to manage multiple projects, organise and prioritise
*Excellent team player, self-motivated, driven and the desire to help
*Excellent interpersonal and client liaison skills
*Ability to work to strict and tight deadlines whilst remaining calm under pressure
*The resilience necessary to overcome obstacles and resistance
