Leading international Automotive manufacturing organisation required a new Quality Engineer due to ongoing expansion. Reporting to the new Quality Manager, this plant has recently undergone a business transformation programme to improve productivity and effectiveness, and is now seeking to invest in new machinery to secure future business with leading automotive OEMs.

Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 + Benefits
Location: West Midlands

Key Responsibilities:
o Ensure that the Quality Management System conforms to IATF 16949 :2016
o Oversee inspection of incoming materials ensuring that they meet requirements
o Work with customers and employees to develop product requirements
o Conduct periodic Management Review Meetings showing trend analysis on KPIs
o Responsible for the inspection /calibration of monitoring and measurement devices.
o Co-ordinate the internal auditing system in order to ensure the quality of internal manufacturing.
o Make recommendations on Continuous Improvement activities.
o Assess quarantine and non-conformities on finished parts to ensure that no substandard goods are approved.
o Prepare & audit to ISO/TS 16949:2009 transition to IATF 16949:2016.
o NPI experience.
o Experience of APQP activities and compiling PPAP documentation.
o Agree closed loop corrective actions with production & Eng. team

You will already have experience working in a fast moving automotive manufacturing environment in a Quality Engineer or Quality Technician capacity.
o Time Served apprentice mechanical/production / HNC Mechanical/ Production Engineering.
o Ideally have experience working with automotive industry standards, with in-depth knowledge of TS16949 (IAFT16949).
o Strong organisation analytical, problem solving and management skills.
o Previous working experience with Control Plans and PFMEA`s and PPAP`s.
o Route cause analysis and structured problem solving techniques (8D, Fishbone, PPS, Taguchi)
