The role

A Sales and Marketing manager with proven experience of managing outbound and inbound telephone sales teams. You will take responsibility for the management, motivation training of a growing sales and marketing team. Focused on servicing both established and prospective customers you will champion and direct the continued development of a successful, consultative and customer focused sales division. The organisation

Established 12 years ago, My client is a leading Software Solutions Business who works with clients throughout the UK, providing software, services, training and consultancy solutions for Accountancy, Payroll, HR, ERP and CRM within sectors such as Manufacturing, Distribution, Construction and Professional Services.

The function

This role requires a Sales and Marketing manager who loves what they do, does it well and wants others around them to have the same attitude. Knowing that great results can only be achieved by delivering a great service, knowing your product and great relationship management is key for this role. Your duties, as well as your responsibilities, will be wide ranging and will involve working closely with, and contributing towards, the management of a small marketing team alongside full sales management of a team of telephone and field Sales Consultants.

Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:

- Management, training and development of the Sales team
- Working with Directors to establish and set strategies, targets and objectives
- Reporting & data analysis from internal systems
- Setting and reporting of all sales targets, KPI's and strategies
- Develop and action a process of continuous improvement
- Working closely with and overseeing a small marketing team
- Foster an ethos of openness, honesty and responsibility
- Managing relationships at all levels both internal and external
- You will be office based (Birmingham) but with an expectation that you will be visible in the northern office on a regular basis.

- Candidates from any professional services sales environment will be considered.
- You must demonstrate proven experience in sales management.
- A logical thinker able to define and communicate customer requirements
- A confident individual able to stand and present with passion
- Adjust your communication style and work from the shop floor to the board room
- Entrepreneurial drive
- Create customer loyalty through courteous, timely and helpful service
- Have a competitive edge
- Commercially savvy
- You will be fully computer literate and able to demonstrate excellent written communication

- Lead the way in the use of internal systems to help and support the business
