Our client is a nationwide provider of services to adults and adolescents with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs and they require a Senior Staff Nurse for their independent hospital near West Heath in south Birmingham.

The hospital provides assessment and treatment for up to 30 men and women with autism including Asperger's syndrome, who are also living with a learning disability and complex needs. The service can also support people who may be detained under the Mental Health Act and those who present with behaviours perceived as challenging or with difficulties with social engagement.

As a Senior Staff Nurse you will be a key player in the multidisciplinary team with an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people, their families and carers.

You will be responsible for and lead on the following:

Medication Management
Staff Development
Clinical Supervision
Appraisal and Performance Management
Managing Positive Behaviour and Culture (ABC) within the service Coordinate for individual service users through MDT and CPA processes
Contribute to the admissions and discharge planning processes
External and internal communications

REQUIREMENTS

RNLD, RNMH or RMN qualified.

RATE OF PAY

GBP13.62 - GBP15.08 per hour depending on experience (based on 40 hours per week).
