Children's Support Worker - Shrewsbury
We are immensely proud of our Short Break Children's service in Shrewsbury and we are looking for support workers to join our dedicated team. Our Children's service provides a short break service for children & young people with a learning disability.
You will be responsible for supporting children and young people with day to day tasks, including personal care, medication and independence skills, you will also be expected to support young people in a variety of activities and outings, so a big part of being a support worker is about getting involved in the fun, visiting farms, going swimming and being involved in arts and crafts. Another vital part of the role is the up keep of important paperwork and support planning.

Supporting someone with their daily life is not a 9-5 job. You will need to be able to work across a range of different days and shift patterns, including some sleep in shifts. We realise that your quality time is important too, so your rota is prepared well in advance - Got a request, something special going on? Your manager will certainly try to help you meet it.
