My client is offering an exciting opportunity to join their team, develop and expand a strong commercial product range across the UK & Europe.

They are a leading manufacturer of kitchen ventilation canopies and vented ceilings in the UK. They offer multiple products and services across any sectors, ranging from small restaurant chains to large scale projects within the Public Sector, Business and Industry, Stadia, Hotel and Leisure.

This position is home based (working from home, visiting factory, office and sites when necessary). The company is looking to join the export market, this mean there will be great potential for project engineers to travel.

- Developing and delivering project solutions from initial concept to delivery and installation.
- Taking ownership of projects across the UK, you will be required to work with clients and partners building better relationships to a project management standard.

Skills Required:

- Ideally you need to have knowledge of fabrication, commercial ventilated canopies and the regulation DW172.
- Excellent customer service, communication skills and knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- A technical background an advantage.
- An ability to explain / production solutions essential.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD essential, 3D package an advantage.
- Understand complexity of the business' activities and the most appropriate distribution channels.
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills and an ability to manage and project manage in a fast-paced work environment.

Key Activities:

- To develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
- Prepare and distribute Sales/Projects specific drawings for approval/comments.
- Establish installation dates with Customers, Projects Department, Engineering and Production.
- Arrange site visit / survey - take site dimensions and check site conditions, i.e. access, logistics, security, health & safety etc. document accordingly.
- Prepare and issue Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Check drawings prior to a formal issue to customer for approval to ensure co-ordination with quote and cost sheet(s).
- Attend any further meetings / site visits where applicable to progress release of drawing(s) for manufacture - usually warranted on larger projects.
- Liaise upon receipt of a written approval of drawing from client with Engineering & Production.
- Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
- Liaise with the purchasing department for any procurement / order requisition of "bought out" items and specialist sub-contract works, i.e. Ansul, Amerex Cobra, SDU fit-out, fans, filters, ductwork etc.
- Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications and schedule changes; recommending actions.
- Confirm and agree delivery/installation commencement date with customers.
- Inform Admin/Logistics of any specific delivery requirements.
- Monitoring project progress, performance and maintain quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain project database.
- Control of project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
- Oversee installations as and when necessary, usually on larger projects.
- Attend staff training or hand-over meetings if required.
- Troubleshooting - airflow recording, canopy, UV system, controls performance issues.
- Deal with and action any snag item(s), customer queries, complaints, warranty/quality issues etc.
