The team is growing rapidly and looking for talented colleagues to help deliver ambitious and market leading services that live up to Sainsbury's industry leading reputation.Job Description We are looking for a Private Cloud Infrastructure Manager to join our Cloud Infrastructure team responsible for leading a team of subject matter experts to create, maintain and continuously improve the delivery of Private Cloud Infrastructure. You'll need to maintain strong engagement with Sainsbury's senior management team, Cloud Competency Centre and the broader delivery teams is crucial in order to lead a team of engineers and respond to businesses requirements.The Private Cloud Infrastructure manager will be responsible for implementing and the JS Private Cloud Infrastructure Strategy. Their duties and responsibilities include: overseeing the allocating of Private Cloud Infrastructure engineering expertise to product and project teams for building Infrastructure environments consistently; contribute to managing a budget of £3 million; where appropriate, focusing resource and effort on automating the deployment of Private Infrastructure; contributing to D&T strategy, standards, and solutions; coordinating service levels with product and business managers, and internal users, to define and deliver at or above service level agreement standards; remaining on the forefront of emerging Private Cloud Infrastructure technologies and practices; identifying Cloud Infrastructure innovations and manages the implementation of these across our organization, processes, and technologies; coaching, training, and developing colleagues to ensure proficiency in delivery of services that we provide on a daily basis; developing positive stakeholder relationships at all levels to deliver change, resolve issues, and manage the product lifecycles; measuring, tracking, reporting, and attaining/exceeding D&T goals; organising, documenting, and reporting to senior management on all projects and daily responsibilities; escalating issues and pursuing resolutions to the agreed SLA's; managing multiple operations projects simultaneously within a dynamic environment, overseeing the assignment of resource to support duty and projects; mutually establishing project priorities with Product Owners, communicating target schedules for deliverables; participating in new and enhanced software design discussions and review sessions; monitoring related product development and data centre activities, and colleague support of implementation activities; managing operational standards and procedures, and ensuring those are documented and followed by team members; acting as Manager on escalation as part of Service Operations rota; providing resources to support the Private Cloud Infrastructure; managing the department budget to ensure both CAPEX and OPEX targets are met and additional costs are forecasted and planned correctly; and line managing Private Cloud engineering team leads in accordance with Sainsbury's practices. The Private Cloud Infrastructure Manager will need the following experience to be successful. Managing a large team of 16+ technical practitioners with both development and sys admin abilities. Service accountability for the infrastructure supporting business critical IT systems. Detailed understanding of DevOps principles and how to implement them within a large enterprise. Experience in delivering Infrastructure, Platform and Software as a Service solutions using Private Cloud services, with expertise and experience with VMware virtualisation solutions, server hardware, EMC storage solutions, Cisco network solutions. Experience in automation techniques and technology including Continuous Integration and Delivery processes. Understand how to manage stakeholders within a high pressure environment. How to manage IT budgets of over £5m per annum. Excellent leadership and coaching skills. Proven track record of measuring and implementing IT transformation. Inspirational communication skills both verbally and written. Experience of implementing and working with virtual infrastructure. How to manage non-production environments efficiently. ITIL Service Management practitioner. Experience of delivering projects using both waterfall and agile techniques. Experience of Scrum and Kanban work flow management techniques. *LI-PF
