Interpreter - The Role:

You will be performing freelance law sector interpreting, face to face, in a range of settings including the police forces (interviewing suspects, obtaining statements from witnesses), courts, probation and for solicitors.

Interpreter - The ideal candidate has:

An advanced level interpreting qualification such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), a Diploma in Police Interpreting (DPI), a language degree with an interpreting component, or a member of the National Register of Public Services Interpreters.

Interpreting experience in the criminal justice sector, particularly in police work a great advantage.

Good knowledge of police procedures and common criminal offences an advantage.

Diploma in Police Interpreting course:
