Salary: Up to £40,000pa - Dependent on experience - Plus bonuses

Time Recruitment Solutions are proud to be recruiting for a Deputy Home Manager on behalf of a highly prestigious and reputable care home located in Burton-on-Trent. This home is designed for older people who require Palliative, Nursing and Dementia Care.

This is a beautiful, medium sized home with a friendly nursing team to work alongside of. They're looking for an outstanding Deputy Home Manager to manage, direct, plan and monitor the highest quality of care. This service has a 'Good' CQC and a strong management team in place.

Working alongside the Home Manager your responsibilities as the Deputy Home Manager will include:

"Be responsible for monitoring standards of care delivered by qualified and unqualified care staff by observation and direct involvement, ensuring that all residents receive quality person centred care and that care plans are fully maintained. Hold a current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.

"Have up to date knowledge of clinical practices and a strong understanding of relevant regulatory care compliance including CQC fundamental standards

"Have an awareness of clinical policy framework, DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines. Have experience of working in an older person setting and producing well developed care plans, leading a clinical team and a track record of supporting student nurses through placement.

"Provide support to the Home Manager in the implementation of all policies, procedures and business objectives, becoming knowledgeable and competent in managing the Home.

"Prepare the staff duty rotas to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times.

"Instruct all staff in safe systems of work, fire safety and evacuation procedures, and induction of new staff.

"Be responsible for monitoring the state of well-being of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met and written records are amended to reflect any variation.

"Act as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their well-being, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are promptly investigated and dealt with appropriately.

"Liaise with the Home Manager across the range of operational activity to be able to assume responsibility for managing the Home during the manager's scheduled and unscheduled absences.

"Liaise with the Home Manager on the marketing of the Home to existing and potential residents and relatives, health and social care professionals, developing links with other care providers to work together for the mutual benefit of those agencies and the Home.
