A great opportunity for a Payroll and HR Advisor who is looking to progress their career within a forward thinking and innovative Ladies Retail Company based in Birmingham.

Working closely with the Head of HR, the Payroll and HR Advisor will provide HR Advice and guidance, as well as being a key member of the payroll function. This Payroll and HR Advisor position is will suit an ambitious individual looking for a varied, fast paced and diverse role.


- Administration and processing of a full payroll function
- Managing the Time and Attendance process
- Processing Statutory payments i.e. SSP, SMP etc
- Processing and uploading of the Company Pensions scheme
- Processing P60's, P45 and new starter checklists
- Submitting of all HMRC Reporting including RTI timely
- Producing weekly/monthly payroll reports
- Maintaining all payroll records
- Managing the Holiday and absence systems
- Dealing with pay related queries quickly and effectively.


- General HR administration
- Offering advice and guidance on HR issues
- Issuing offer letters and contracts
- Processing new starters and leavers
- Conducting Induction
- Ensuring receipt of 'right to work in the UK' documentation
- Supporting with Disciplinary and appeals
- Minute taking
- Preparing and issuing formal letters
- Actively supporting Health and Safety
- Updating of policy and process
- Undertaking Ad-hoc projects

What we are looking for

- Excellent skills using Microsoft software, MS word and Excel
- Experience using XRL would be preferred but is not essential
- Highly organised
- Confident and able to work under pressure
- Up to date knowledge of current legislation
- Able to communicate with senior management and director levels
