Resident Quality Engineer

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Resident Quality Engineer for an exciting new opportunity working predominantly in the Coventry and Redditch areas of the West Midlands, however there will on occasion be a requirement for working in Sunderland.

The Resident Quality Engineer in this role will be based at an automotive first tier manufacturers site and will be the first point of contact for the customer on reported engineering commodity concerns, feeding information back to the second-tier supplier.

The resident engineer will be responsible for preliminary investigation of suspect products reported at customer locations, implementing containment activity and communicating engineering concerns to the supplier manufacturing and engineering departments.

The resident engineer will minimize the impact of quality issues at the customer sites through immediate product containment; requalify the suspect components and the coordination of corrective actions.

In addition, the Resident Quality Engineer will be responsible for the supervision of new program trials and launch of serial production for new programs.

Applicants should have previous experience in a similar role within the automotive industry, be able to communicate at all levels and be familiar with problem solving and 8D methodology.

In return the Resident Engineer in this role will be offered a rate of up to £30.00 per Hr Ltd Company dependant on Experience and Qualifications.

This role will initially be for a period of 3 months, but is likely to be extended.

Based in the Coventry and Redditch areas, this role is commutable from Tamworth, Rugby, Leamington Spa, Solihull, Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Hinckley and Nuneaton, amongst other areas of the West Midlands, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire but will require occasional travel to Sunderland.
