Our globally recognized Engineering Consultancy is expanding to support the growing number of projects here in the UK and as a result FEV is looking for self-motivated enthusiastic graduates who would like to follow a career in engineering.

FEV offers a complete range of engineering services, providing support across the globe customers in the design, analysis, prototyping, powertrain and transmission development, as well as vehicle integration, calibration and homologation for advanced internal combustion gasoline, diesel, and alternative-fueled powertrains.

As a development partner to many vehicle manufacturers we value customer orientation, technical expertise, initiative and the ability to work independently and to integrate in project delivery teams. Successful candidates will show a focus on the quality of their work and a methodological approach to execute tasks.

The Role

To join a team of experienced engineers working on hybrid vehicle projects. This requires supporting across a number of areas ranging from requirements capture through to test and validation of production intent hybrid vehicle components and systems.

Accountability / Key Responsibilities
*Accountability to a senior engineer or team leader for project related tasks which will be monitored but will require significant self-motivation to complete.
*Management of task plans and processes/procedures integrating with colleagues, customer and suppliers personnel.

Key Requirements
*Degree in engineering (complete).
*Personal interest in automotive subject matter.
*Full passenger car driving license (valid for the United Kingdom).

Key Skills
*Self-sufficient learning.
*Self-organisation; including planning, prioritisation and realistic effort estimates.
*Creation of technical documentation and reports suitable for varied audiences.
*Ability to present targeted, clear and concise information.
*High competence at devising tests and extracting useful data / results from results.
*Using computer based tools to trace issues and concerns.
*High level knowledge of automotive vehicle architectures and systems.
*Self-managed professional liaison and cooperation with personnel at all levels to obtain and/or provide support.
*Identification of different approaches for interactions with personnel at all levels.
*Maintain a positive outlook in pressure situations.

Key Skills
*Electrical and/or mechanical automotive systems.
*Methodical problem solving.
*Engineering compromise.
*Team working, ideally with personnel from varied backgrounds.
*Presentation of technical results to varied audiences.
*Personal computer applications; preferably Microsoft Office.
*Experience of data acquisition and/or analysis applications would be ideal.
