Machining Our client is a global Aerospace manufacturing business specialising in machined components for some of the world's most reputable Aerospace clients. They are currently seeking a Production Leader to join the high performing team in Rugby.

Production Leader - Machining To ensure that all manufacturing activities are planned to maximise the productivity of the business and produce components which meet the customer or design specification. Also to ensure that there is flexibility within the production function that does not allow any single point business failure. To ensure that all other operational areas are meeting their goals and maximizing output to support the business requirements. Responsibilities: • Organise and maintain the operational shift patterns required to deliver the business goals. • Produce operational skills matrix that provided full cover for all processes to mitigate sickness, holiday and other absence. • Produce detailed daily projection for are productivity and throughput. • Work closely with production control to define the most effective use of the resources within your area of influence. • Follow established standards in regards to production methods and quality standards. • Review existing manning levels and highlight bottlenecks or areas that are overmanned. • Provide detailed analysis of individual as well as area productivity. • Provide development and improvement plans that support both individual and company goals. • Provided detailed week reports on variable cost expenditure and planed expenditure in support of the company targets. • Ensure compliance to all relevant health and safety requirements including the use of PPE, first aid provision and fire awareness. • Provide process or product improvement ideas to enhance productivity and cost targets. • Carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required within the jobholder's capability consistent with the Terms and Conditions of employment. Production Leader - Machining Qualifications, skills, attributes, experience required: • Bachelors of Engineering preferred, but not essential. • Experience in the Aerospace or related machining industry is essential. • A good working knowledge of mechanical material removal processes. • Strong leadership skills. • Strong budget control skills. • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems. • Strong knowledge of drawing and specification reading skills. • Thorough knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes. • Thorough knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and requirements. • Outstanding technical translation skills. • Excellent understanding of the company's business goals and objectives. • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. • Strong operational orientation. • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. • Ability to perform one to one consultations. • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
