Sheridan Maine is recruiting for a Head of Payroll for a business services organisation based in
in Coventry. Salary GBP50000 - GBP60000 per annum.

This is currently one of the most exciting Payroll opportunity in the West Midlands. As the Payroll Manager you will inherit a team of 6 and will have the opportunity to expand this department to accommodate the needs of the business.

You will become part of the future of the business and will have the opportunity to progress into a leadership position within the organisation which will come with potential equity %. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll knowledge, coupled with an entrepreneurial spirit and has the ambition and drive the push the business forward.

Other duties and responsibilities

- Maintaining payroll information by designing systems; directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data
- Updating payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles, and department/ division transfers.
- Determine payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.
- Balancing the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.

What are we looking for?

- CIPP Qualified
- Team Management experience
- Hands on experience on overseeing the management of an outsourced payroll
- Hands on experience with the processing of a bureau
