Training Centre Managers work to ensure employees are equipped with the requisite knowledge and skills to complete their tasks successfully. Training managers delegate the handling of instruction to training instructors and review the quality and efficiency of their work.

They have strategic and operational responsibility of the centre to execute its vision and mission supporting the Training and Development Manager. Responsible for implementing the ongoing business growth plan developed with the Training Academy Manager to drive learner enrolments, promote learner retention, and maintain academic quality assurance and accreditation. The role of the Training Centre Manager involves leading, planning, managing budgetary and human resources, implementing and evaluating the educational programmes and responding to change.

Responsible for creating the overall experience of the centre, enhancing the companies' reputation, managing the day to day operations including adherence to Health & Safety policy and practice for employees and visitors to the centre.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop a strategy including budget and performance measures to review the progress of the institute
  • Develop strategic partnerships with key clients and organisations to advance the Academ

  • Experience; monitoring work standards, assessing and maintaining quality of deliverables, liaising with clients, developing training programmes, with and through Assessors and introducing new tools and techniques as frequently required.
  • Provide leadership and programmatic oversight for all courses delivered at the Kidderminster training facility
  • Maintain Accreditation status

  • Ability to oversee a group of Assessors in their given field.

  • Communicate effectively to clients and public with a high-degree of communication skills as a pre-requisite.
  • Management of sales leads, for onsite courses, and marketing. Many roles also require the ability to work with other members of management, the marketing team and, of course, Assessors to ensure targets are met.
  • Management of centre budgets, targets and training sales in line with company directives
  • Coordinate, implement, complete and flex between all administration duties as of administrator role and centre manager role, to ensure it is all compliant

  • Ensure that the learner accesses appropriate learning so that they are appropriately prepared for each of the planned assessment milestones meeting agreed criterion in line with Individual Learning Plans (ILP).

Training managers typically have certification or qualification in their field. Technologies and instructional methodologies update frequently; managers must maintain current knowledge of these developments.
Training managers may work within training departments or as a single training employee. Therefore, to attain this position applicants must be competent professionals and have managerial skills.
