Shift Manager (Residential)
Description of Service: Options Higford is a DfE registered school and OFSTED rated children's home offering a purpose built service specially designed to meet the educational and development needs of the children in our care. Set in 28 acres of rolling Shropshire countryside, we provide a caring, structured and homely environment for our children.
Description of Role/Duties: To take full responsibility for the management of the shift to provide the highest quality of care and support to Service Users in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and the standards set by the Regulatory Body. The role involves: monitoring, recording, management of behaviour & staff, liaising with parents and local authorities.
Hours of Work/Rota: Average of 40 hours per week (7 day rota)
Contract Type: Permanent

Criteria/Key Skills Required:
- Qualified to Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent
- Experience at management level in an education/residential setting
- Experience of people management, supervising and appraising staff
- Excellent knowledge of The Children home regulations.
- Effective leadership skills & ability to motivate a team and individuals
