We are currently representing a fast-growing business within Waste Management, looking to bring in a General Manager to oversee sales and operations throughout the West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with sales/operations management experience seeking a new challenge, where they will be heavily rewarded for their involvement in moving the company forwards.

The Duties of the General Manager:

- To line manage staff members within Business Development and Operations/Logistics to ensure KPIs are being met across the board
- To account manage current clients ensuring full satisfaction, as well as upselling wherever possible
- To attend various client meetings across the West Midlands
- To identify new business opportunities within waste management and follow up accordingly, in order to grow the client base in line with success to date
- To assist with recruitment across logistics (e.g. lorry drivers, admin support etc) and BD/sales
- To ensure the business is always working as efficiently as possible, making recommendations for improvement wherever possible.
- Responsible for budget control for all of the Waste Management side of the business
- Ensure and monitor adherence to agreed service level standards
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and maximize revenues and profitability from Client
- Hold regular account reviews with client
- Provide value added contributions for Client that increase Client's loyalty to the company
- Establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Monitor performance with agreed KPIs.
- Develop the most cost effective collection methods and identify the cheapest disposal options for material collected.

The Skill Set Required for the General Manager Position:

- You will have experience in a similar Sales and Operations Management/ General Manager position
- You will have experience working within Waste Management and a strong knowledge of the industry
- You will be based within a commutable distance to the West Midlands (Birmingham as a central point).
- You will be financially savvy and experienced in being responsible for large budgets
- You will have excellent communication skills and experienced in line managing others within logistics/operations/sales
- You will holde a full, clean UK driving licence

You will receive a competitive basic salary (GBP40-45k depending on experience), a car allowance (GBP6,000 per annum or a company car), and a competitive bonus structure (an additional OTE of up to GBP30k).
