UK Mail has over 40 years’ experience within the industry and a nationwide network and 3500 vehicle fleet, we are experts in parcel, mail, pallet and same day delivery solutions.

We are currently recruiting for a full time National Trainer as part of our Learning & Development HR team based out of Ryton on Dunsmore, Head Office.

The role of National Trainer involves :

Being responsible for the design, delivery and evaluation of business critical training courses and customised training procedures whilst taking a lead role in training delivery across the organisation. Including new starter inductions and soft skills leadership and management courses whilst developing sales and account management training activities that will enhance organisational efficiency and employee knowledge, skills and ability, while supporting the operational/sales/account management teams in the development of training both on and off the job.

Organise, develop, design and source training programs to meet specific training needs while supporting UK Mail teams to deliver high quality services through identification of potential solutions for training.

Ensure high quality training is delivered and aligned to business objectives and develop training aids such as manuals and handbooks. Inform employees of training schedules and venues and monitor attendance of all training and promote learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training and on-the-job coaching.

Track and report on training outcomes to Learning & Development Manager.

Carry out additional responsibilities as required in line with business needs.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills required for a National Trainer:


    CIPD Level 5 in Learning & Development or equivalent work based experienceExperience of delivering sales, soft skills and management development programmes and HR.Outstanding interpersonal skills that are conducive to effectively train and motivate staff.Experience in meeting the needs of internal customers with an emphasis on quality training, and the ability to develop a diverse group of employees with varying levels of experience and knowledge.Knowledge and experience of using the full training cycle.PC literate – MS Excel, Word and Power point.Project management experience, demonstrable experience of meeting deadlinesExcellent communication skills both written and verbal at all levels.Ability to work autonomously and flexibly within a fast paced working environment.Flexible to work occasional nights as required in a 24/7 operational business.Prepared to travel nationally.

    A good working knowledge and understanding of current training award bodies.Operational experience with a distribution/logistics environment.Knowledge of industry specific training requirements.
