A multinational world leader in construction and manufacturing, employing over 150,000 employees across the globe, is now seeking an Employee Relations Advisor based in Coventry to join its expanding team for 12 months.

As the Employee Relations Advisor, your duties will be to:

• Respond to enquiries and set up case management file and update the spreadsheet.
• Provide probationary review advice up to and including termination.
• Advise on disciplinary process, suspension, potential outcomes and prepare or supervise outcome letters including termination. Prepare invitations to gross misconduct disciplinary meetings.
• Advise on grievance situations, resolving informally where possible, personally mediate as appropriate, to case managing formal first and second stage grievances. Produce outcome letters.
• Provide ER support and advice around redundancy / restructuring exercises.
• Support and advise on performance management, including outcome letters/ letter of concern/ performance improvement plans.
• Case manage ill health situations to termination where necessary. Includes long term and short-term absences, sporadic and disability related.
• Assist in maternity / paternity queries that payroll is unable to deal with.

To be a successful Employee Relations Advisor you will have the following skills and experience:

• CIPD Qualified level 7.
• Extensive knowledge of employment legislation and its application in a commercial environment. Keep up to date with relevant case law.
• Generalist HR experience.
• Strong IT skills and usage (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, ER data – base and Internet).
• Excellent communicator, verbally and in written form.

In return, the Employee Relations Advisor will receive a salary of £28,000 - £33,000 per annum.
