The Role:
Reporting to the Inventory Planning Manager this new role will be part of the team that delivers the project to transfer across the client's Inventory Management planning system from the current legacy system to SPP. The Inventory Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that the system is set up to analyse demand effectively and use the most appropriate inventory management algorithms, including forecasting, safety stock, economic order quantities, etc. with the most appropriate parameter settings. To deliver an effective inventory turn and availability for a large SKU population in a global network.

- provide Forecasting and Demand management subject matter expertise to the IM projects within Parts 2020 on the following subjects: (i) Forecasting and Demand management, (ii) Inventory Planning (safety stocks and EOQs, (iii) DRP and Deployment
- ensure that appropriate forecasting, inventory planning, DRP and deployment algorithms are active within the client SPP implementation and that parameters controlling these algorithms are effectively set to deliver client's KPI's
- in collaboration with stakeholders, define the business transformation scope & requirements for Inventory Management
- creation and maintenance of a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities throughout all Inventory Management process, including process mapping, UAT testing, data verification and migration
- ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and to the agreed specification
- identify, track and manage Issues and Risks and where necessary escalate to ensure minimal impact to quality, budget and timeline

1)Supply Chain, specifically Forecasting, Safety stock management
2)Software experience MS Excel (Advanced), MS Access, replenishment system
3)Experience of analysis on large data sets (100K +)

Experience Required:
- demonstrate a broad understanding of the individual functions and their interdependency within Aftermarket Parts Supply Chain
- demonstrate a detailed knowledge of Inventory Management, including Forecasting, Inventory Planning, DRP and Deployment in large SKU high service level environments with a strong understanding of a complex multi tiered supply chain
- extensive knowledge of processes and transactions of an Inventory Management Planning system
- extensive knowledge of processes and transactions within SAP or a similar system
- detailed understanding of how current Aftermarket Systems operate and the ability to translate future business requirements into an understandable format
- results-orientated and determined to make things happen, able to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
- well-organised able to demonstrate an analytical methodology and approach to work
- advanced IT Desktop skills including MS Excel & Access
- self-motivated, enthusiastic and welcome the challenge of operating in a varied and fast moving environment
- strong communication & influencing skills all at levels within the business and with external suppliers
- able to communicate complex subject manner in a simple and concise way
- commercial awareness and understand the impact of Inventory Management on other functions in the business
