The right Graduate Sports Teaching Assistant will be a passionate PE/Sports graduate who has a keen interest in hockey and/or netball, and who has already spent time in a role where you worked closely with children. You will be an energetic individual who can demonstrate that you are eager to become a teacher and be seen to be keen to get on. This post requires a graduate who has the skills to help plan and organise various after-school clubs and activities and develop rapport successfully with their pupils. The Headteacher wants to recruit a graduate with a detailed understanding of the hockey and a motivational approach.
As a Graduate Sports Teaching Assistant your role will involve you supporting teaching across all Key Stages, however you will be predominantly teaching girls hockey lessons. The role involves you independently delivering pre-planned lessons to the classroom. You will be utilising not just the facilities available but also the support and guidance on hand in the form of an experienced teacher who will act as your personal mentor when you join the school. You will be able to rely on the full support of a committed and friendly Head of P.E. who will make sure you are enjoying life at the school and progressing well. Your responsibilities will include joining one of the most popular, hard working and social departments of the school. You will take charge of one to one and group sessions outside of class and you will have the chance to plan and run extra curricular activities.
