Warranty Business Administrator

Based in Midlands: Coventry, CV3 4LF

Main purpose of the role

Warranty Operations is responsible for the correct payment of warranty claims from worldwide Jaguar and Land Rover dealers and importers. The function creates and provides Warranty Policy & Procedures, together with claim submission and enquiry systems.

Targeted claim assessment gives flexibility to tactically select claims to support key work streams and deliver commercial effectiveness. An audit process is administered to ensure that claims are paid in accordance with policy, and a warranty material returns process enables the recovery of warranty costs where applicable.

The department has contacts with dealers, export markets and regional offices to support accurate and timely processing of warranty and goodwill claims. Through interrogation of data, Warranty Operations supports PD, the Quality Office and other internal groups in investigating warranty costs in order to ensure control.

The Warranty Business Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the Warranty Operations team in their day to day activities and is responsible for the co-ordination and administration of key business functions. One of the main tasks being the support of the Claims Assessment Rule Management process; this will involve investigation into potential new claims assessment rules in order to trap warranty claims for further analysis, administration of existing claims assessment system rules and liaison with Engineering to feedback the outcome of investigations.

Candidate Responsibilities

- Administer the day to day claims assessment rule process including system change requests
- Liaise with Engineering on claims assessment rules
- Coordinate activities between Engineering and Claims Assessment team to support claim assessment rules
- Develop relationships with engineers to ensure an aligned process
- Attend meetings to support Warranty Claims Assessment
- Liaise with the Warranty Claims Assessment team on process improvement and one off claim debit requests
- Collate and retrieve data from the relevant data management systems to support management reporting
- Interact with various stakeholders, internal and external, and participate in meetings as required
- Support the Warranty Operations Management team in day to day documentation and administration

- Knowledge of warranty systems (DDW - Direct Dealer Warranty, SAP) and processes - desirable

- Full Time 40 hours per week
