If so, you may be interested in a full time position I am currently recruiting for at various HMP provisions in the West Midlands area.

As one of the OLASS Specialists here at Reed Further Education, I am working in partnership with The Milton Keynes College in order to recruit passionate individuals with the ability to inspire offender learners.

The Milton Keynes College have worked successfully with offenders both in custody and the wider community for over 25 years. They have delivered and worked in partnership with a range of prisons and locations, enabling learners to improve their personal skills and self-belief, whilst developing the skills needed to help them settle in to prison life or resettle on release.

Currently, they deliver the Offender Learning and Skills Service in 28 prisons across the Midlands and in the South of England

We have a great opportunity to work on a sessional basis at various OLASS provisions in the west midlands area.

Specifically looking for individuals with experience of teaching:
* Functional Skills (English and Maths)
* ICT
* Construction (joinery/plastering/plumbing/p&d)

As a successful candidate you will:

A full teaching qualification (DTTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed)
Teaching/training or vocational experience in a relevant discipline/subject area and relevant up-to-date knowledge.
A proven track record of managing and supporting diverse groups of learners through nationally accredited programmes.
Experience of identifying, developing and sharing innovative and creative teaching resources.
Experience of working with students who may have little experience of education and training (desirable).
Knowledge of current curriculum and accreditation developments within Further Education and specific subject area(s).
The ability to teach creatively, adapting to the needs of a variety of learners and willing to explore new teaching and learning strategies.
A good level of IT literacy and willing to develop further.
Accuracy and precision in written presentation.
