We are recruiting for a Category Manager, who will work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to support a business growth agenda. Areas of responsibility will be widespread and will encompass the entire marketing mix.
Key responsibilities, amongst others, will include: -
Working closely with the Marketing Executive to develop effective Sales and Marketing support programmes.
Responsible for the commercial development and positioning of our Systems brands.
Manage the implementation and launch of two key new system brands.
Market and competitor information / intelligence gathering including customer profiling and the upkeep of a competitor library.
Product range management, product lifecycle management to ensure product group sales, profitability and overall return.
Product GAP analysis and competitor research to identify /propose New Product Development (NPD) Projects.
Responsible for the overall product portfolio of the brand across all customer groups.
Promotional planning and reporting on the effectiveness of promotional campaigns.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
University degree ideally in Marketing and/or Business Studies.
Some hands-on Marketing experience in a product/category type role would be preferable.
Ability to innovate and implement ideas and initiatives.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Ability to prioritise and organise workload so that deadlines are met.
Must be confident, articulate and be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
Must have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
The most important factor is to show an enthusiasm to succeed and develop in a fast moving, forward thinking business environment.
