Our client is looking to recruit an experienced HR Advisor to join the HR team at their Stoke On Trent site, close to Newcastle Under Lyme, Leek, Stone, Congleton and Crewe.

The HR Advisor will be responsible for the following duties:
• Visiting multiple company sites within the UK to provide consistent HR support to provide expert advice, guidance and direction to support the effective operation of the business
• Acting as a subject matter expert on core HR policies, processes and procedures, providing specialist advice and direction on their practical application to key stakeholders
• Overseeing all ER cases within own defined areas of responsibility, providing commercially-focussed advice and direction on all employee relations issues
• Picking up all escalated casework from the HR team
• Attending formal meetings where dismissal is a potential outcome and escalating formal appeals to the HR Manager
• Proactively supporting the business to manage employee wellbeing to reduce sickness absence
• Identifying opportunities for the continuous improvement and development of HR service provision across the business
• Providing expert support to the wider HR Team, advising on the application of HR policies, best practice, commerciality and effective stakeholder management
• Supporting the HR Administrator and the HR Director to create job descriptions and advertisements, plus administering and feeding back on psychometric assessments
• Supporting the development of HR policies and processes, with direction from the HR Manager
• Identifying opportunities for improving employee engagement and support with / participate in local initiatives within own of remit
• Supporting with the delivery of training and development programmes and initiatives, as directed by the HRD, including the delivery of Values workshops

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following experience:
• Extensive generalist HR experience and demonstrable continued professional development
• Excellent knowledge of all areas of HR policies, processes and best practice
• Good administration and IT skills
• A full driving licence and flexibility to travel and work from other sites with occasional overnight stays
