This client school hopes to take a natural and exciting academic and guide them to become an excellent teacher of science. In this teaching assistant opportunity, you will be used to your strengths and given the opportunity to become a valued member of the Science faculty.

The school is offering this excellent opportunity and hopes to attract a high calibre - and preferably Russell Group University with a 1st or 2.1 degree - graduate who can commit to the teaching assistant position for the remainder of this school year and gain a place on the Schools Direct scheme from September 2018.

You will be given the training and the development opportunities to make a start on your teacher training early. As a teaching assistant / learning mentor you will have the challenge of delivering booster sessions for many of the KS5 groups. These groups are made up of 4-6 pupils who are study partners. As a teaching assistant / learning mentor you will liaise with these groups and keep their learning on track. These groups are not selected as friendship groups but based on ability - so you may have to intervene on teenage maters from time to time - but pupils are fully aware of the learning agreement in the school and these groups are extremely well behaved and contribute to the attainment of all pupils.

This Teaching Assistant / Learning Mentor role is a chance to really make a difference. Join this secondary school in Birmingham and start your rewarding career. Click 'Apply Now' and send your CV and covering letter to Patrick at EduStaff.
