We are ideally looking for a person that worked within a laundry plant environment.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Engineer, and will be responsible for a small project team, the ideally candidate will be reporting directly to the Managing Director.

This is a national role will be to effectively manage major strategic business projects from inception to completion for both the Company and the sister Service Group.

The successful applicant will have responsibility for Group health and safety management, business unit design, layout, refurbishment, M & E installation, energy conservation, improved utilisation of utilities, effective plant maintenance and awareness of new and improved equipment.

Key tasks include:

• Through direct reports manage Health & Safety for the business
• To plan and manage new projects and project issues around engineering, health and safety and the environment for the Company and Group
• To liaise with contractors, architects and engineers
• Through direct reports, to audit standard of engineering, plant, machinery and the efficiency of plant utilities
• To ensure all locations are operating to ISO 9001 and 14001standards and procedures

Candidates should have a suitable H&S qualification (NVQ Level 5 diploma or equivalent), experience of a leadership role in project management, extensive knowledge of project engineering.

You will need the ability to work within multiple teams and deal with changing priorities and the ability to generate simple CAD plans.

The position will require regular travel across the UK covering all the group engineering site.
