An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Extra Care Manager to join a not for profit organisation in Mid Wales. They have won numerous awards for being an excellent employer and the role comes with a good salary and benefits package.

The organisation provides outstanding care and support services to people who live in extra care schemes, supported living schemes and general housing. They are now looking for an Extra Care Manager to support a care team covering the Mid Wales region. No two days will be the same in this interesting role. The duties will include:
*To be responsible for the operational management and quality of service delivered within an extra care service.
*Oversee the delivery of housing management and support services, including catering, facility management and support.
*Develop and maintain effective relationships with partners and the wider community to ensure residents receive services that support and promote their independence.
*Ensure residents receive appropriate, high quality services that meet their needs.
*Ensure resident involvement in the management and development of the scheme.
*Ensure policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to the building and the services it offers are up to date, understood and followed.
*Maintain effective administrative and financial control procedures under instruction of the line manager including the banking of money.
*Ensure repairs are reported and fixed in the appropriate manner.
*Monitor the effectiveness of services delivered by the catering and facility management teams.

To be considered for this role you must have the following:
*QCF/NVQ3 or above in health and social care or housing equivalent.
*Experience of working with older people within a housing or care environment.
*Knowledge of support services available to older persons.
*Experience of providing an effective housing management service.
*Ability to work effectively in partnership with other agencies.
*Experience of Microsoft Office software packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
*Car driver.
