Redwood Search are working with one of their clients to help them find a Transport & Warehouse Co-Ordinator on a temporary to permanent basis.

Daily duties –

Transport Management:
To assist with the day to day running of a fleet of over 50 vehicles to include duties -

  • Dealing with employee breakdowns, damages
  • Organising vehicle services, Mot’s, Taxation, Insurance
  • Dealing with employees, clients and customers via email and telephone
  • The Sourcing and purchasing of new vehicles for new employees
  • Organising the installation of vehicle tracking systems, sign writing
  • Some driving of company vehicles from time to time as and when needed

Facilities Management:

  • The responsibilities of the facilities Manager are many and varied ranging from the changing of light bulbs, buying new office furniture, ordering gasoline for the heating system, buying new tools for engineers, purchasing test equipment for our engineers and organising the calibration of all test equipment.

Test Equipment- A brief insight:

  • All Service Engineers carry out servicing of a range of equipment at Hospitals and dental surgeries across the country and to do this they need specific test equipment to be able to carry out their duties.
  • All of their test equipment is logged on our database and it needs to be kept within calibration which is usually carried out every 12 months – we have approx. 1500 items thus far included on our database .
  • This involves dealing with our engineers and calibration companies to organise where / when the calibration will take place.

The duties for the Facilities Manager are:

  • Dealing with employees, clients and customers via email and telephone
  • Data input on our database
  • Raising of purchase orders for new equipment and calibration of existing equipment
  • Dealing with clients for repair and servicing of items
  • Dealing with employees needs on a day to day basis
  • Packaging of equipment to be sent out to suppliers and engineers
  • Unpackaging of equipment received from engineers and suppliers
  • Printing and Scanning of documents and updating systems
  • Filing paperwork and documents
