As Quality Engineer you will own the processes for identified APQP projects and as such will need to produce timing plans, implement product quality samples and ensure early identification of any quality changes, liaising with customers to provide support, advice and answers in an understanding and professional manner. Supporting the introduction of new products into the Company System.
This is an exciting role within an automotive supplier working with house hold names. Due to the nature of the role our client requires the successful Quality Engineer/ Project Engineer to have experience of APQP/ PPAP/ QCD, TS 16949, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001.
You will be liaising with internal and external customers, so it is important you have the gravitas to communicate professionally at all levels. You will be responsible for continually improving activities in support of the development of offerings to the market place and existing customers, to strengthen the business and intellectual capability. Driving a philosophy of defect prevention through TS16949.

Full responsibility for implementation and management of all APQP/PPAP activities.
Improved technical performance and readiness in facilitation of APQP.
Supply Chain management experience, ensuring compliance of bought in products on new projects
Worked in a methodical, organised manner examples of QCD performance.
Established structured APQP/Programme Reviews,
Experience of documentation/ record generation e.g. IMDS, Process Flows, FMEA’s, Control Plans, SOP’s, etc
Responsibility for Customer Quality Reporting e.g. QPN, BeOn, RMT, VDA6
Experience of APQP/PPAP Documentation in compliance with TS16949
Supported and contributed to Continuous Improvement
Adherence to the standards of the 5s housekeeping audit
Health and Safety at Work regulations
- TS 16949, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 experience
- APQP/PPAP programme Planning.
- Parts delivery, conformance and adherence to Programme Key Timing Dates.
- Risk Management.
- TS16949 process relating to the Quality Department.
This role would be suitable for a Project Engineer or Quality Engineer with a qualification in engineering
